Luis Manzano says he won’t be jealous if Jennylyn Mercado sees Patrick Garcia
Luis Manzano confirmed that his term of endearment for Jennylyn Mercado—with whom he is going out with—is “Love.” Asked if this is also the latter’s term of endearment to him, he answered yes. Luis related, “Nag-evolve na eh, nagsimula talaga sa ‘mat’, [‘yun] ‘yung tawagan naming [before]. Grappling mat, as in sahig talaga, kasi nagti-training kami together.” When further quizzed why they chose this particular term, Luis answered, “Napakaespesyal niya sa puso ko, so why not love?”
The actor-host also confirmed that he has cooked for Jennylyn a couple of times but added that it is the actress who prepares food for him and his friends more often. Actually kaka-bake lang niya ng cake for Billy (Crawford) and Nikki (Gil). Ang iniluto ko sa kanya no’n was Chorizo Pasta, nagkaroon ng feast sa bahay lahat ng barkada ko [nandoon],” Luis related.
He also confirmed that he has heard of the recent news that Jennylyn and former partner Patrick Garcia are very much on good terms and sometimes meet up, but explained that there is nothing wrong with that. “Kung lumabas man sila, para sa anak nila ‘yon and I can’t take that away [from them]. “Kung anuman ang relationship ni Pat at ni Jen kasi they have an angel to consider, which is Jazz (their son). I cannot touch that relationship.”
Luis continued that he is not jealous because as parents, it is their responsibility to discuss what is best for their kid. “No, no of course not (jealous). May kanya-kanya na silang buhay, although sabi ko nga meron silang common denominator [and that’s their son].”
The host of Pilipinas Got Talent also clarified that he and Jennylyn are not yet an item in spite of the issues that they allegedly are.
