Luis and Jennylyn happy together
Many notice that Luis Manzano’s aura is so light and positive these days and he admits it’s because of present flame Jennylyn Mercado.
“Well, thank you!” he says. “Actually, they say I’m blooming at this point. Ha-ha-ha! It’s all because of Jen. She inspires me a lot and it shows in the quality of work I turn in.”
Speaking of work, he was recently chosen by the Golden Screen Awards for Television as its recipient of this year’s trophy for Outstanding Adapted Reality Competition Program Host.
“I’m thankful to the Enpress (Entertainment Press Society) which is behind the Golden Screen Awards for bestowing upon me such title. It means a lot to me. And again, credit should go to Jennylyn. I consider her my lucky charm.”
Some quarters say they positively influence each other in a lot of ways like when it comes to their physical looks. On Jen’s side, many are amazed at how she maintains her whistle-bait figure in spite of her being a mother.
“That’s her! Jen is very conscious about her physique. She really works hard to achieve that body and I’m proud of her!” explains Luis.
The general observation is that he’s never been happier in his love life until now.
“It’s not nice to compare my past and present love life. What I can just say is that I’m very, very happy right now!”
Luis seems to enjoy the best of both worlds at present. His love life and career are both on the upswing. The talented TV host-actor has an upcoming soap over at ABS-CBN titled Alta.
“Yes! I’ll be with Gretchen (Barretto), Angelica ((Panganiban), Diether (Ocampo) and KC (Concepcion) in the said project. I’m Angelica’s love interest in the story. It tackles the life of the rich and powerful in the society…the privileged ones. It’s another explosive drama sure to keep the viewers glued to their seats,” he reveals.
Network-switching is rampant among stars these days.
“I guess that’s just normal. It’s the system. Personally, if one feels he or she will grow in another stable and no contract will be violated, then go!”
In his case, is it possible that he’ll leave the Kapamilya grounds if a more lucrative offer in the future comes along?
“Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t want to end my sentence with a period. As long as I feel I will have advancements if I will move to another station, I’m for that,” he states.
